Somatic Embryogenesis of Oil Palm (<i>Elaeis guineensis</i> Jacq.) from Bud Explants Using Suspension Culture

چکیده
The propagation of oil palm seeds through tissue culture and somatic embryogenesis is a preferred method due to its ability produce entire plants without the need for gamete fusion. While embryo proliferation typically performed on solid media, this approach less efficient than liquid which both more cost-effective can lead better results. Thus, study aimed determine most effective combination growth regulators MS medium suspension propagation. Buds from served as initial explants, with embryogenic callus utilized culture. Bud explants were previously planted media 2,4-D BAP initiate primary was formed 97th 132nd days, D4B1 (80 mg/L 2,4-D; 2.5 BAP) containing callus. subcultured twice over 60-day period before induction. calli D3B1, D3B2, D4B0, between 90th 120th days. medium, again successfully initiated growth, hence it later used fresh weight increased during first second subcultures declined in third subculture. process repeated obtain coleoptilar embryos, them being 88th 115th days (40.7%). Somatic an way propagating use specific result formation embryos.

Somatic embryogenesis from bud and leaf explants of date palm (Phoenix dactylifera L.) cv. Najda
An efficient regeneration system through somatic embryogenesis was developed for date palm cv. Najda. Adventitious bud and proximal leaf segments cultured on Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium supplemented with various combinations of auxins and cytokinins induced embryogenesis after at least 6 months of culture. Somatic embryogenesis induction seemed correlated with the type of the explant, the i...

In the present study, 2, 4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2, 4-D) was assessed individually for its effectiveness to induce somatic embryogenesis in tea (Camellia sinenesis L.). Embryonic axes and cotyledons explants were dissected from the seeds. Explants were cultured on Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium containing 0, 1 and 5 mM 2, 4-D alone for embryonic axes and 0, 1 and 5 mM 2, 4-D along with 0...
متن کاملSynchronization of somatic embryogenesis in a carrot cell suspension culture.
Synchronization of somatic embryogenesis was achieved in a carrot (Daucus carota L. cv. "Kurodagosun") suspension culture by sieving the initial heterogeneous cell population, by density gradient centrifugation in Ficoll solutions, and by subsequent repeated centrifugations at a low speed (50g) for a short time (5 seconds), followed by transferring the cell clusters obtained, which were compose...
متن کاملInduction of Callus and Somatic Embryogenesis from Cotyledon Explants of Fagonia indica Burm.
To explore the potential for in vitro rapid regeneration of Fagonia indica Burm., cotyledon explants were obtained from 10-day old aseptically germinated seedlings that cultured on MS medium which supplemented with 1.0-5.0 µM 2,4-D. Callus was initiated from cotyledon explant on MS medium supplemented in all concentrations of 2,4-D investigated. 2,4-D was more effective than IAA and NAA for cal...

Leaves from in vitro proliferating shoots of cvs. Chandler and Hartley of Persian walnut were cultured on MS and NN media supplemented with BA and NAA. Three light conditions including darkness, low light intensity and modified light intensity were used. Most of the calli were friable and non-embryonic in all three conditions. Rate of callogenesis depended on cultivar, culture medium, light con...
